Another fabulous bouquet...


(From May 1st) We photographed this entire wedding and did all decor/floral/etc. I will post pics as soon as I get them from Allen. I loved this one, even though it was the flood weekend and we all worked outside in the rain in full rain gear!! They got married under a tent and it was still beautiful!! Very colorful wedding, which was awesome for that super-rainy weekend!!

May 22 Wedding

This is our 6th wedding of the year and I am just now posting photos! You can tell that I am not as with it as I have been. I will hopefully post more soon on our past weddings, but no promises. :)

I am 8 months pregnant and about to take maternity leave for the rest of the year! But, I wanted to get a few shots up and make that announcement so that it is official! We will still be booking weddings, so feel free to contact me. I am just not going to be AS invlolved. :)

Property rental extends from noon/3:00 p.m. on day of arrival to noon/3:00 p.m. on day of departure and features…
•exclusive use of our Main Lodge, including Millstone Landing, Adele Commons, Evelyn Commons, Stone Room, Taylor Hall, Manning Overlook & Ivy Overlook
•exclusive use of the Gristmill, including Davidson Room, Knox Room & Courtland Game Hall
•exclusive use of the entire forty acre property, featuring waterfalls, hiking trails, fishing ponds, streams, a recreation area & multiple ceremony locations
•one "bridal" suite w/ pampered extras, including a gift basket of premium snacks & beverages, select bath & body products, use of waffle weave robes & a rose in a ribbon-wrapped vase
•other overnight accommodations available to wedding guests at significantly discounted prices (see below)
Minimum food & beverage order for receptions and rehearsal dinners is $25 per person for events of 100 guests or less. For events with more than 100 guests, the minimum order is $20 per person.
• With the exception of the wedding cake, Evins Mill is the exclusive provider of food & beverage service.
• Tea, coffee, lemonade and ice water come with all food orders.
• One complimentary beverage station featuring the beverages outlined above is provided in the Main Lodge from arrival through departure.
• Other beverages such as sodas, bottled water and alcoholic beverages are available but are not included in the food order price outlined above.
• Breakfast for two is included in the price of every room.
• A 20% service charge applies to all food & beverage orders.
Two Day Exclusive Rental - $3,000 to $4,000
The two day rental is designed for brides and grooms who are hosting not only their ceremony and reception at Evins Mill but also their rehearsal dinner. The two day rental price is discounted $500 to $1,000 if one of the two days includes a Sunday and/or the weekend in question does not coincide with our high season (May through November)
One Day Exclusive Rental - $2,000
The one day rental is designed for brides and grooms who are hosting their ceremony and reception at Evins Mill but not their rehearsal dinner.

Evins Mill hosts all food & beverage related activities at the Main Lodge, where up to 175 guests can be comfortably seated in the following locations:
• Taylor Hall - seating for 80
• Millstone Landing - seating for 32
• Stone Room - seating for 22
• Manning Overlook (covered outdoor porch) - seating for 40


Buffets are set-up in Evelyn Commons, while a full service bar is available in Adele Commons. Evins Mill will furnish, set-up and break-down tables, linens, chairs and serving ware for up to 175 guests.
The Lodge provides a cozy and warm setting not only for rehearsal dinners & reception meals but also for the festive traditions that often accompany them, including the cutting of the cake, toasting, the first dance and the toss of the garter!

Main staircase (you will see it as soon as you walk in)... the door that you see to the right leads to the chapel. There is also another entrance on the left that you cannot see.

We did not find the lights for the room until after my camera battery died, so I do apologize for the poor lighting.

There was limited info on their site, but I do know that the rental is around $1,200 and it comes with 10 tables and 100 chairs. It
is a very large and beautiful space, especially if you can coordinate your wedding colors around the reds, blues, greens, and golds.

Your Ceremony Site:
Choose a beautiful, outdoor, garden setting in the manicured Courtyard facing either the sparkling fountains or the Log Cabin. You may wish to make a grand entrance by descending from the white staircase at the back of the Manor or arrive in an old-fashioned, horse-drawn carriage. The Courtyard can seat 400+ guests. For a more rustic setting, you may elect to use the Covered Bridges overlooking the turtle pond. The Covered Bridge can seat 100 guests comfortably for wedding ceremonies and provides shade, ceiling fans and the sounds of a trickling waterfall and splashing fountains in the background. Indoor ceremonies are held in the Loft of Vine Event Center. The second floor area boasts a 27 ft. cathedral ceiling, a balcony, and antique, doors through which you may enter. Smaller wedding of 30 people or less can be held on the lower floor of the Antique-filled Mansion.

Your Catered Reception:
Will be private. No other events will be taking place at your facility of choice, while you and your guests are present. The Vine Event Center Main Dining Room is on the first level and can seat up to 250 guests. There is a beautiful mahogany dance floor and stage area for your entertainment.
